Students received a study guide that covers important terms from lessons 30 - 60. They will be tested over these vocabulary words on Wednesday, January 23rd.

We have started a new novel! Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks is an action packed adventure story. Ask your child to tell you what Little Bear and Omri are up to today.

Autobiographies

Students have just completed an autobiography writing unit. Each child discussed with their parents to learn details about the day of their birth and interesting information about their early childhood years. Each student then wrote wonderful essays and created displays that included a baby and recent picture. Be sure to stop by our hallway to read and learn all about our 4th graders!

English Action

Students will be quized on Wednesday, November 28 over the 23 helping verbs. This information is found on page 88 of their Shurley English book.

Newbery Novel Project

Reading students just completed a study of Newbery novels. Each child read a different Newbery award winning book and did a "cereal box" book report. After this experience, students are anxious to read more books by these authors.
